Statement

食品工場やフードデリバリーで働く経験をもとに、現代の食を考察しています。
これまで食卓にのぼらないまま廃棄される食品の状況を目の当たりにしてきました。
消えゆく食品のレプリカを制作することは、食の記憶の再現であり、同時に私を取り巻く食の状況の整理でもあります。

Based on my past experiences in both the food production and delivery industry, I started reconsidering the present-day concept of ‘food’. Up to this day, I have come across many instances in which food products get discarded without even reaching a dinner table,let alone ever being eaten. The art of creating replicas of such perishable food items can be seen as a revival of the memories I have of food, as well as a means to provide myself with a place where I can be connected to this concept of food.
